LETTER: If another lockdown is needed, rules need to change, reader says

If another lockdown is necessary: 

  • Bars should close. Alcohol and drugs lower inhibitions. People under the influence are lax at distancing and contact avoidance. 
  • Schools should never have opened as statistics now show parents are getting COVID from their children in large numbers. 
  • Fitness centres should remain open. People attending are doing so to maintain health and are more responsible than most and maintain distancing and follow health protocols.

Please consider these thoughts.
