LETTER: Parking scrap between Orillia, townships 'childish'

'The parking spots are yours, the money comes to you, so manage the process,' urges frustrated letter writer from Severn Township

The recent scrap between Orillia and its neighbours, (Severn, Oro-Medonte, Ramara etc.) over allowing parking at the waterfront parks is simply childish at best.
How sad that elected officials can’t solve a simple problem.

Those of us who live in the surrounding area support Orillia in many ways. First, they announce a stand off, then a $50 summer pass is discussed, (annoying but reasonable) with no way of applying for it as Orillia is throwing it back to the other councils to figure out.

Come on Orillia, you have the technology in place to pay for and issue parking passes. Don’t be a child and thumb your nose by making it difficult ... the parking spots are yours, the money comes to you, so manage the process!

COVID is stressful enough, don’t add to our anxiety.
