I’m a 76-year-old senior. In this country and province, once we reach the age of retirement, we are thrown out like garbage.

Before retirement, through our jobs, we can access insurance coverage for dental, eyes, chiropractor, massage, etc. Once we retire, these services disappear and this is the time we need them most.

For the privileged, these benefits continue, but for seniors surviving on CPP and OAS, there is nothing.

It’s time we are recognized for what we have contributed to this country and province and not treated like garbage once we reach a certain age.
