LETTER: There is no excuse for gas pains at the pumps

If gas prices had dropped accordingly when the price of oil fell, at the same rate as they rise when the price of oil rises, prices would still be close to $1 per litre.

But all we get are excuses from our leaders. And the elimination of Canadian refineries ensured we will pay more for our own gasoline than the U.S. and other countries.

Hearing lobbyists like Dan McTeague attempt to give credibility to the oil industry is sickening. There is no justification for these high prices. Canadians are being serviced by those elected to serve us.
