I find it amazing that in today’s age of greening the earth, lessening our carbon footprint, and improving fitness levels, our new and improved Front Street does not include a single bicycle lane.

After five years of consulting fees, five years of council debate and almost $5M of construction costs, the current Mayor and council members should be ashamed of their oversight.

Our city’s major north/south thoroughfare and I cannnot ride my bike safely on it? That four feet of useless pink contoured concrete sure does look pretty though.

And those concrete lined gardens will be enough to justify hiring a few more city employees to maintain them. All at taxpayer cost. Amazing. Truly amazing.
