Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Snow Squall Warning continues this morning.

Hazards:

  • Local snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm
  • Rapidly accumulating snowfall of 2 to 3 cm per hour at times
  • Northwesterly wind gusts to 60 km/h resulting in local blowing snow over exposed areas


Timing: Lake effect snow will taper to a few flurries this morning

Impacts: Icy roads have been reported in the area. Travel will likely be hazardous due to significant snow accumulations and icy roads. Weather conditions are likely to vary considerably over short distances. Be prepared to adjust your driving with rapidly changing road conditions.
