4TH STREET JAZZ PROJECT
BRASSWORKS
*************************
Christmastime is here and Brassworks, 4th Street Jazz Project, Christina Bosco and the Orillia Secondary School/Twin Lakes Secondary School choir are celebrating the season with a spectacular combined concert.

Come enjoy an afternoon of jazz with a definite Christmas focus on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel.

The concert is in support of the Salvation Army Christmas appeal for families in need. Admission is by donation at the door.

Brassworks is a nine-piece brass- and rhythm-section jazz band who headlined the Saturday-night Orillia Jazz Festival in October. They will kick the concert off with their outstanding arrangements of O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.

Next is the newly formed 4th Street Jazz Project. This garage band of saxes, brass and rhythm section will start their part of the program with a variety of legit jazz repertoire like In the Stone and Christmas charts including Let it Snow and White Christmas.

Christina Bosco, just having finished as musical director of the Mariposa Arts Theatre hit musical, The Rocky Horror Show, will entertain with her own amazing voice on This Christmas and O Holy Night.

Also featured in the concert will be a return from the Orillia Jazz Festival of the combined OSS/Twin choir singing Sway and Christmas Time is Here.

Brassworks and 4th Street Jazz Project will each provide several more selections followed by the last numbers of the show. The two jazz bands will combine in a performance of Thrones, a unique compilation of Game of Thrones and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. And finally, a mass combined performance of bands and vocals presenting Copacabana will end the concert.

Come hear some great seasonal music and support the Salvation Army Christmas appeal.
