SIMCOE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

On Oct. 25 the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) and Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) will jointly hold public meetings to consider the enactment of successor education development charge (EDC) by-laws in Simcoe County.
In May and June, the SCDSB and SMCDSB held joint public meetings to review the current EDC policies and to gather public input regarding these policies.
As a result of the feedback received, the school boards postponed their decisions regarding EDCs. In September, the boards held a joint information meeting to update the trustees of each Board on the proposed EDC by-laws.
Public meeting in consideration of EDC by-law enactment
Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at 6 p.m.
SMCDSB Catholic Education Centre, 46 Alliance Boulevard, Barrie
Any person who attends the meetings may make representations to the Boards in respect of this matter. Written submissions, filed in advance of the meeting, will also be considered. The Boards would appreciate receiving written submissions one week prior to the Public Meetings, so that they may be distributed to Trustees prior to the meetings.
