A fire that erupted in a home on Borland Street, in Orillia's north ward, was quickly brought under control by Orillia firefighters this morning.
Crews from the Orillia Fire Department, Orillia OPP and Simcoe County paramedics responded to the structure fire Monday morning at about 7:40 a.m.
Crews managed to get the blaze under control within about 35 minutes.
Officials say firefighters were able to contain the fire to the attic of the single-family dwelling. However, there is smoke and water damage to the living area of the home.
The fire, while not considered suspicious, is under investigation.
No occupants of the home nor firefighters were injured, officials told OrilliaMatters this morning.
