Special Olympics Orillia held a fundraiser recently at Sunshine Super Wash on Front Street.
In true community spirit, the car wash owners donated 50 per cent of each car wash to Special Olympics Orillia during the event.
Although the weather was threatening all day, athletes and volunteers were on hand to greet customers and collect donations.
Special Olympics Orillia would like to thank everyone who came for a wash and/or donated money. The final tally amounted to just over $1,900 raised to support local Special Olympians.
Organizers give a big thank you to Scott, Cole and staff at Sunshine Super Wash and to all the community members who so generously donated to Special Olympics Orillia.
