NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA AREA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP.
*************************
The Community Development Corp. (CDC) is now accepting grant applications for the Community Capacity Building Fund.

The CDC has $20,000 to invest in projects and would like to maximize impact by funding a variety of projects in both for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations/social enterprises.

The intent of the funding is to strengthen our communities by supporting projects that improve opportunities for growth and/or success within an organization.

Ideal activities are collaborative, innovative, and incremental projects that address local needs and priorities and result in long-term benefits including job creation, economic diversification, and enhanced business competitiveness.

Eligible recipients must be located in the City of Orillia, the townships of Oro-Medonte, Ramara, Severn, or the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, and must be structured as a non-profit organization or a for-profit business (sole proprietor, partnership, or corporation). However, registered charitable organizations are not eligible.

Please note that while applicants are eligible to apply and receive funds for multiple years, new applicants may be given priority. The maximum amount of funding that may be requested from one organization is $3,000.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.

To apply, please visit the CDC website at www.orilliacdc.com or contact community development co-ordinator Carol Benedetti at 705-325-4903, ext. 103, or [email protected].
