Each year, CFUW Orillia proudly makes a donation to an international charity. This year’s chosen charity is Paso Por Paso.
Paso Por Paso is a grass-roots community-based, non-profit organization that helps low-resource Mayan families living in the beautiful highlands of Guatemala.
The organization is based in Orillia, and operates fundraising events in Orillia and the surrounding area.
Over the last 15 years, through the generous donations of Canadians, the charity raised over half a million dollars to support programs in Guatemala. Paso Por Paso has allowed CFUW Orillia’s funds to go directly to girls and their education.
CFUW Orillia offers amazing social connections, life-long learning opportunities, a commitment to advocacy, new friendships, and is dedicated to promoting education.
