City provides grants to trio of local organizations

First installment of grants program announced; City is 'proud to support these organizations,' says mayor

Mayor Steve Clarke presented grants to three local organizations as part of the 2019 general grants program at Orillia City Centre on May 1, 2019.

“The City of Orillia is proud to support these organizations who contribute greatly to the betterment of the Orillia community,” said Mayor Steve Clarke. “Orillia is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers and community groups who continually give of their time towards worthy causes and events.”

Grant recipients:

Orillia Silver Band                                                  

                                    $750

RACE Against Drugs Orillia                                

                                    $1,000

Knights of Columbus                                                               

                                     $500                           

This is the first installment of the 2019 general grants program. The total City of Orillia grants budget for 2019 is $32,000.
