Coldwater Fall Fair celebrates community's rural roots (11 photos)

Popular annual fair wraps up its three-day run in Coldwater with jam-packed schedule of events today

The 127th Coldwater Fall Fair, a three-day celebration of all things rural, kicked off Friday and hit its stride Saturday.

Small additions each year have allowed for the fair to progress over the last 126 years and this year is no different.

New to the jam-packed lineup this year is a talent show, Zucchini drag races, a new circuit tractor pull class as well as many changes within existing classes.

Of course, many long-standing and popular events and features such as the demolition derby, horse pulls, tractor pull, midway and others, will continue to be crowd favourites.

This year’s theme is “Trees – Come Grow With Us”.

Sustainable forestry practices have played an important role in the success of the agricultural community within north Simcoe for as long as people have settled here. This year at the fair, these vital and important species will be celebrated.
