Collision leaves man in critical but stable condition

RAMARA TWP - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a serious collision which occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. police responded to a collision involving three vehicles. The incident occurred on Highway 12 south of Concession Road A in Ramara Township.

Emergency Medical Services including Ramara Fire and Paramedics also responded.

One vehicle was travelling northbound and the other two vehicles were travelling southbound on Highway 12 when the collision took place.

One driver had to be extricated from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He is still in hospital, his condition deemed to be critical but stable.

Both drivers of the other two vehicles involved were also transported to hospital and later released.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) is assisting and the investigation is ongoing.
