This Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, the Den of Hilarities comedy company makes its debut in Orillia at Creative Nomad Studios.
Den of Hilarities is central Ontario’s leading comedy brand, which was started by 35-year comedy veteran Marc Trinidad. Trinidad, a former Yuk Yuk’s comedian and festival veteran, noted that the cities and towns north of Toronto rarely get a chance to see quality comedy from the up-and-coming comedians who truly represent the future of comedy in Canada.
Trinidad further noted that after being sheltered indoors for the past two years, due to the global pandemic, people are hungry to get outside amongst other people and kickstart the roaring ’20s.
One of the featured comedians will be Nigel Greenstead. Nigel is on the fast track to being one of the next top comedians in Canada. Greenstead’s laid-back charm and absurd takes on life have earned him the reputation of being one of the most imaginative comics in Canada. Greenstead won first place in the Toronto Comedy Brawl as well as taking home first place at the Homegrown competition at the world-famous Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Most recently, Greenstead won first place at the Brantford Comedy Festival.
Also performing this Friday will be rising stars Jeff Faulkner and Daniel Shaw, who each have been rising through the ranks of the Canadian comedy scene and are set to appear at several of the top festivals in Canada in 2023.
