The City of Orillia has received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the swimming advisory at Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, has been lifted.
A swimming advisory was issued by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on July 25, 2023 for Couchiching Beach due to a higher-than-normal bacteria count.
The swimming advisory issued on July 25, 2023 for Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, remains in effect. Portage Bay, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, remains unaffected and is open at this time.
