COUCHICHING JUBILEE HOUSE

Every year at Couchiching Jubilee House's (CJH) annual general meeting, a special award is presented to those who have demonstrated exemplary support.
This year, that honour went to two recipients: Greg Thomson of Greg Thomson Photography and Victoria Igonoto, owner of Sweet Time Bake Shoppe.
Thomson was the artistic direction behind CJH's successful Fearless Females calendar campaign, volunteering endless hours of his time and talent to direct, photograph and edit the images of the 11 incredible women who modeled for the project.
And Ignoto has stepped up for CJH numerous times this past year both as a third-party fundraiser, selling her out-of-this world baked goods with proceeds benefitting CJH, and donating her time and baking on many occasions, including donating 250 guest favours for this year's smash fundrasing event, Dancing with the Docs.
"Having Greg at the helm of our calendar campaign was very special as he really demonstrated how men are supporting women, too," says Lynn Fisher, executive director of Jubilee House. "This is so important."
"Our partnership with Victoria and Sweet Time, has been a wonderful one and we are just at the beginning of what we can achieve together by supporting each other's respective goals," says Courtney Willis, development coordinator.
"And, of course, we are thrilled to champion another woman doing so well and running her own business in Orillia. It sets a great example for our clients."
Both recipients expressed tremendous gratitude for the recognition and were thrilled to be included in the mix of community members considered for the annual award.
