A special council meeting will be held this afternoon, but the exact purpose is under wraps.
The agenda for the closed-session meeting states council will receive an update on the waterfront redevelopment project and that the discussion will involve a “land and legal” matter.
Asked if the meeting had anything to do with the two concepts being considered for the waterfront redevelopment or the recent legal battle between the city and Metro, Mayor Steve Clarke wouldn’t say, but he noted those topics might come up.
“It really is an information session,” he said.
He did say a decision on one of the two concepts proposed by separate developers is expected to be made “in the very near future, but not (Wednesday).”
