On May 11, just in time for Mother’s Day, moms can treat themselves to a little Do-It-Yourself pampering!

The Orillia Public Library is holding a relaxing afternoon of DIY spa treatments made with supplies that are easily obtained or that you might already have at home.

Participants will have the opportunity to make sample-sized portions of five different treatments to take home, along with the recipes, and one treatment to try at the program.

Treatments will include a cucumber aloe vera face mask, a coconut oil and honey hair mask, a lavender oatmeal tub tea, a peppermint foot soak, a lemon and rosemary salt scrub and a yummy lip scrub.

In the spirit of Earth friendliness, we ask that participants bring up to 4 small jars to take home their treatments in, though containers will be available if needed.

Since this is a time of pampering for moms, participants are invited to wear comfortable clothing.

Our DIY Spa program is available to library patrons over age 18, so adult daughters are welcome to join their moms!

This program costs $10 per person, and registration is required.

Please contact the Library at 705-325-2556 or email [email protected] .
