Something big is coming this summer!

You may have heard about Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie’s popular Toonie clothing sales. Now they're bringing you Toonie Tuesdays, an exciting progressive online 50/50 raffle open to anyone in Canada.

For only a toonie you’ll be able to purchase a raffle ticket online and be entered to win one of the weekly cash draws: 50 per cent to you. 50 per cent to Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie and the programs they run to help local women gain employment. Plus, exclusive monthly incentive prizes to be won just for spending a toonie and spreading the word.

The raffle went live on July 7, with the first draw being on July 21. This first draw will be an exciting one, as it’s a guaranteed jackpot of $1,000. Be sure to play your tickets every Tuesday; if you don't and your ticket number is drawn, the cash is rolled over to the progressive jackpot and up for grabs the following week.

Tickets are just $2, and participants can purchase multiple tickets to increase their odds of winning. Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie hopes that the $2 raffle ticket price will be an affordable way for participants to try their luck and to support the organization. A small donation can make a big impact.

What is a progressive 50/50? From Lottery Factory FAQs:

In a Progressive 50/50, a user purchases a ticket and that number remains active for a full year from the date of last purchase. All eligible tickets, whether they have purchases for that draw or not, are entered into the draw.

If the number drawn does not have a purchase for that draw it is classified as a non-winner and the jackpot rolls over to the next draw increasing the prize pot. The owner of the ticket misses out on the prize money for that draw because they didn't play against their number. There is no guaranteed winner in a Progressive 50/50 draw aside from the first week.

“It's time to recover and rebuild. Your support helps women get back to work. Thank you for giving. Good luck!”
