Music lovers in Orillia can anticipate an evening filled with masterful production as artists from the Canadian Musicians Co-operative kick off the second leg of their Emerging Artist Showcase Tour.
The showcase will take place at the Orillia Opera House (20 Mississaga St. W.) on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m., with the pre-show starting at 6:30 p.m. This eagerly awaited tour comprises a series of extraordinary performances, marking the culmination of the co-op’s summer intensive programming for their cohorts of exceptionally talented emerging artists.
The Emerging Artist Showcase Tour promises an unforgettable musical experience, as the audience will be treated to an arrangement of classic hit songs, alongside original works created by the cast members themselves. This showcase not only celebrates Canada’s rich musical heritage but also showcases the immense talent and creativity of the next generation of musicians.

The casting and rehearsal process for the showcase mirrors that of professional productions, and enables the youth to develop essential skills such as meeting time-sensitive expectations and elevating their abilities to meet challenges head on. Working tirelessly to master their craft, the cast has immersed themselves in a full-time commitment to hone their talents. This dedication is further enhanced by workshops conducted by leading Canadian music industry experts, allowing these emerging artists to gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving music industry landscape.
