Lakehead University Orillia’s Dr. Les Fleischer will be the final speaker in this year’s In Conversation Speaker Series. Fleischer will present Being Aware of the Unconscious: Understanding Your Dreams in Relation to Your Everyday Life at the Orillia Public Library on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 6:15 p.m.

We are greatly influenced by thoughts, feelings, desires, and memories that we are not aware of. Yet the unconscious mind regularly reveals itself in many aspects of everyday life, including dreams.

In his presentation, Fleischer will focus on how dreams can help us understand ourselves better and improve decision-making, thus contributing to happier, more fulfilling lives.

An associate professor with the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences and School of Social Work at Lakehead Orillia, Fleischer’s research interests and scholarship are in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, dreams, mental health, and the education of mental health professionals.

This event is free and open to the public. Register by email to [email protected] or by phone at 705-325-2338.
