Fall is a busy time at the Ramara Public Library

Programs range from PA Day events to essential oils to reading with Buster the Pug

There is no shortage of activities coming up at the Ramara Public Library. Here are some of the events taking place in October.

Essential Oils, Make and Take

Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Cost: $5 each

Learn more about oils and make some roller bottle blends! Five different blends will be available: Under The Weather, Digestive Help, Sleep and Calm, Seasonal Zen and Happy Head. PLEASE NOTE: $10 will hold your seat and will be credited back to you with two blends you choose that evening. Register early as spaces are limited.

Power of the Pen with Elaine Charal 

Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.

Discover what the strokes of handwriting mean. Elaine will be available to do an individual five-minute handwriting analysis before her presentation, and will email profiles to those who don’t have a chance to meet with her.

PA Day, Soles & Souls, Your Inner Energies

Friday, Oct. 4 10:30 a.m. - Ages 5 to 12

Join us for a fun morning of yoga, a story and snack, as well as learning about precious gems and rocks with Shannon and Shannon! Register early as spaces are limited.

PA Day, Harvest Artwork

Friday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. - Ages 8 to 18

Do you love fall? Join us to make beautiful autumn string art and other crafts to celebrate the season! Register early as spaces are limited.

Friendship Force Lake Simcoe

Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Come hear all about it! Travel the world, make friends, be hosted in their homes, learn about their culture and food, and explore their favourite sites. Be a host to new friends from around the world.

Paws to Read 

Second Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. and last Saturday (from 11 a.m. until noon) of the month

All Ages (including teens and adults) Book a 30-minute time slot with Jack the Yorkshire Terrier from the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dogs to read and interact in a comfortable, non-judgemental setting. This is the first time we are bringing this program to Brechin and hope it is a success!

Books with Buster

Last Saturday of the month

All Ages (teens and adults welcome) at 11 and 11:30 a.m.

Book a 30-minute time slot with Buster the Pug from the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dogs to read and interact in a comfortable, non-judgmental setting. Anyone is encouraged to participate in this program.
