NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA FAIRGROUNDS FARMERS' MARKET
*************************
On May 13 the Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers' Market is putting on a party to celebrate it's 10-year anniversary. The party will run for normal market hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ODAS Park.
"We are a vendor owned and operated market," says Market Manager Sophia Siachos. "This means the local farmers and entrepreneurs you see at the market are also working behind the scenes to make the market happen, so this 10-year celebration is earned by everyone!"
There will be free cake, games, live radio, a prize draw, and giant card for everyone to sign.
Also, all of the market's original vendors will receive recognition and a certificate.
This is a celebration of community and local business.
"There are vendors here who created this market and customers who have been shopping here since the market's creation," says local farmer Greg Kamphuis.
"It is such an amazing venue for new businesses to get off the ground. I am so thankful to all of the people who have worked together to make this market what it is."
The anniversary party will also feature all the normal festivities that occur every Saturday morning, as well as a $5 bracelet crafting table for Mother's Day.
