February is full of fun at your library!

Blind Date with a Book returns this month. Choose a book based on its “personal ad” and let us know what you think.

Every completed ballot will earn you the chance to win a delicious lunch for two from Eclectic Café!

Adult Story Hour is a monthly program designed for adults with varying abilities but all adults are welcome. We read entertaining and thought-provoking books then finish with a themed art project. Please register online for the Feb. 4 Story Hour. Drop by on Feb. 8 to create personalized Valentine’s cards with our green screen. Pose with props and receive eight adorable cards for $5.

Join Dr. Hannah Brooks-Lafayette on Feb. 12 for a free talk on how to lift your winter spirits and beat those blahs.

Join us after hours on Feb. 15 as we take over the library for an unofficial Amazing Race. In teams of 2-3, complete Amazing Race-style physical and mental challenges with a fun nerdy twist in a race to finish first! Nerdy challenges include “Academic”, “Game”, “Comic”, “Icons” and more. Prizes for winners and most enthusiastic! This program is open to library members age 18+ and costs $5 per person. Please register your team online.

On Feb. 19, join Registered Nutritionist Alisa Herriman as she shares nutritional strategies to help protect against breast cancer. Please register online for this free program.

On Feb. 21 we are bringing TV & Movie Trivia to Kelseys Original Roadhouse. Bring your knowledge of popular favourites, cult classics, binge-worthy series and more and win tons of door prizes! And of course something for the winning team! Register your team of 2-4 online, cost is $5 for library members age 18+.

Tech courses this month include Google Drive, taking smartphone photos, and learning with Lynda.com. Please register online for these classes.

Teens, on Feb. 3 you can express your artistic side while learning emotional coping skills with Youth Haven. Register by emailing Youth Haven.

Winter Reading Club is in full swing in the Family Department! It’s not too late to register for free and enjoy weekly prizes just for reporting.

Our Family-How To Fridays series with great family activities and pizza has filled up quickly.

Still some spots available for families to test their knowledge in our “I Love Disney” Trivia Night being held on Feb. 14. Please register online for this free program.

Celebrate Canadian literature at our “I Read Canadian” Indoor Campfire Party on Feb. 19. Register your family online and enjoy a yummy Canadian dessert.
