NEWS RELEASE
FIERTÉ SIMCOE PRIDE
*************************
Fierté Simcoe Pride (FSP) is hosting its third annual Community Winter Feast this coming Saturday, December 19. This feast was started as a way to support the 2SLGBTQ+ community and its allies at a time of year that can often be difficult.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way FSP operates, primarily going virtual, so this event will look different this year. Meals will be available for pickup in Barrie, as well as delivery for those unable to arrange pickup throughout Simcoe County. A small group of volunteers will be preparing individual meal packages, adhering to pandemic health and safety protocols, and wearing personal protective equipment. Meals can be requested by Friday, December 18 at 1 p.m. by using this digital form: forms.gle/8iBYHNnksqywprAY8.

FSP is still seeking volunteer drivers throughout Simcoe County to help deliver meals. Please contact [email protected] to volunteer.

This free, family-friendly event will also feature a virtual social via Google Hangouts in the evening. Further details on the whole event can be found at www.facebook.com/events/1043156762814126.

Donations to support this important event and year-round Pride events can be made at simcoepride.com/donate.
