The Orillia Fire Department is urging families in Orillia to “Look, Listen and Learn.”

This year’s Fire Prevention Week, which runs from Oct. 7-13, will focus on preventing fires before they happen, testing early warning devices and preparing a quick exit plan.

“Fighting fires before they happen is our most effective tool,” said Orillia Fire Chief Ralph Dominelli.  “Be aware of potential fire hazards; know what to do if your smoke or carbon monoxide alarm activates and make sure everyone knows two ways out.”
