Have you ever wanted to try Taekwondo? This month is the perfect time to do so - for free.

As part of Recreation and Parks Month in Orillia, there are several free opportunities to try a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Master Mike Larose, in partnership with the city, is offering free, drop-in Taekwondo at Orillia’s Rotary Place.

The fifth-degree blackbelt is offering free sessions in the Tournament Room from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26.

Larose suggests people wear long pants, a T-shirt and bring some enthusiasm to give the unique martial art a go.

Prior to moving to Orillia in 2018, Larose coached the sport for a decade in the Sudbury area.

All are welcome to give Taekwondo a try.
