RIPPLE OF KINDNESS ORILLIA

The Ripple of Kindness (ROK) Orillia Chapter continues to make its impact felt in Orillia.
The local group has finalized plans to host its upcoming ‘Giving Social’, where another local charity will receive a huge, one-time financial boost.
ROK members will gather next week to donate a minimum of $26,000 to support the vital services the Green Haven Shelter for Women provides. Green Haven was chosen from several nominated organizations.
Since its inception in late 2018, 130 donors have now pooled their generosity under the Ripple of Kindness (ROK) Orillia banner, which means the charity democratically chosen by member vote a few weeks ago will be the beneficiary of nearly $26,000.
The giving social will be held on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Geneva Event Centre, located at 16 West St. S. in downtown Orillia. If you're interested in attending as a guest or to become a member, please email [email protected] or visit www.rippleofkindnessorillia.com

Launched online in November 2018, the Ripple of Kindness Orillia Chapter is an opportunity to support local chapters of registered charities through collective giving. ROK members are asked to donate $200 each – tax receipted -- twice per year and then nominate a charity for which they are passionate.

- Ripple of Kindness members are from or work within the greater Orillia area.
- Ripple of Kindness socials are held quarterly at various host venues. No formal minutes are taken or recorded.
- Community members are encouraged to attend one of four "Socials" per year with an ROK member, joining other inspiring women at different venues throughout the area.
- ROK members commit to donating $200 each, twice per year – tax receipted.
- ROK Orillia attendees can network with new people, learn about important charitable enterprises and initiatives. Host venue and food/beverage donations are welcomed.
