NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA MUSEUM OF ART AND HISTORY
*************************
Join the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) for the Speakeasy. Celebrate the roaring 1920s with this fundraiser supporting children and youth programs. The Speakeasy will be coming to OMAH March 27, 2020 and tickets are on sale now!
Immerse yourself in a multi floor experience that will transport you to another century. Themed musicians will be playing in each area; including The Big Butter and The Egg Men, DJ in Muskoka, and Mark Stewart.
Explore the past with an exclusive pop-up exhibition about Orillia in the 1920’s. We will be joined by local food purveyors Era 67, Tailwinds, Lake Country Grill, Rustica, and Sweet Time Bake Shoppe. There will also be a photo booth, so be sure to dress snazzy and jazzy for the occasion.
A live painting will be created during the evening by local artist Tanya Cunnington. This painting will then be auctioned off to raise money for children and youth programs.
OMAH offers educational and community programming for children and youth ages 0-18. We proudly deliver integrated visual-art and history programs to schools in the Simcoe, Durham, York Region and Trillium Lakelands district school boards.
We serve over 1,600 students annually through the delivery of 10 educational programs and over 600 children and youth annually through the delivery of our community programs.
Tickets are $50 for general admission and $75 for VIP. VIP ticket holders will receive a password to enter the jail cells for a unique experience. There are only 40 VIP tickets, so you better act fast to buy your tickets! Tickets can be purchased online, by phone 705-326-2159, or at OMAH.
