A beautiful weekend got off to an ugly start for some people today.
At around 11:30 a.m. Friday, there was a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 at Country Road 169, just north of Orillia.
Orillia OPP say one driver has been charged with careless driving as a result of the collision. Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the accident.
Traffic, however, has been backed up as a result of the crash, but the highway is open, say police who remain on the scene.
Police remind people to drive according to traffic conditions while on the way to the cottage.
