CFUW Orillia is off and running for the 2022/2023 season.

Tuesday, Sept. 27 was the first meeting of the season and the first fully in-person meeting since the beginning of COVID. The turnout was terrific and everyone was so happy to see one another whether they were masked or not.

On the agenda for the Oct. 25 annual general meeting is guest speaker Carmine Stumpo.

Working in partnership with other health-care and community service providers, the president and CEO of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), Carmine Stumpo, has been providing strategic leadership to our hospital and its staff during one of the most challenging times in the history of health care in Ontario. With over 25 years of health-care experience (four of those at OSMH), Carmine will speak about the transformation of health care in our region to create the OSMH vision, “We Are One Community.” He will talk about program development, facilities renewal, service integration with the Couchiching Ontario Health Team, and the long-range planning needed to create a modernized OSMH.

CFUW Orillia looks forward to learning more about this vision, titled, “We Are One Community.”
