LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY

n the wake of this week’s cybersecurity event and infrastructure disruptions, Lakehead University’s Winter Study Week will be extended for an additional four days. All classes will resume on Friday, February 26, 2021.

We are also pleased to announce that essential communication and instructional services, including the university’s website, Gmail, Zoom, myInfo portal, and D2L platform were restored earlier today. As our Technology Services Centre continues to bring more services back up, users may experience slowed or interrupted services.

Further decisions related to the university’s academic calendar will be forthcoming pending discussions with faculties and Senate.

As more information becomes available, updates will continue to be provided via email, on Twitter (@LakeheadUNews and @LakeheadOrillia), and on the Lakehead Mobile Safety app. You can download the app from your device's applications store.  A Q+A document has also been posted to the Lakehead Mobile Safety app.
