Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
During this presentation, the audience can experience life in motion.  It provides an opportunity to see how everyday things develop and finish. It includes what goes on in the daytime, but also the impressive changes that occur at night.  Everything from shooting stars, Aurora Borealis, thunderstorms and cities that come to life after the sun has gone down.  Many people look at fog as a stationary thing.  In this feature, you get to see fog come to life and watch it dance from one end of a field to the other, creating various different optics in the process.  Watch sunrises evolve into day and sunsets disappear into the night.  This presentation is a real crowd-pleaser because of its constant movement involving interesting subjects. It enlightens the imagination.

Mass Marketing Fraud and Cybercrime Awareness

Join us as a member of the Canadian Anti Fraud group does a presentation geared for seniors, covering Mass Marketing Fraud, Identity Theft, Romance and other scams – and how to avoid them.  Nearly 80 percent of mass marketing fraud is conducted by organized crime groups and is currently the second most common criminal activity funding terrorist activities.

Are you bored with your all-inclusive vacations? Did you ever picture yourself exploring the totally out-of-this-world sceneries of Iceland? Seriously, do you want to travel to Iceland?  The answer should be YES! Come and join local community member, Maureen as she shares with us her adventure to Iceland!  Not only will Maureen share her adventures, she will also show us photos of the stunning scenery, discuss the friendly locals and why she chose to travel to Iceland.

What Pet Should I Get?
Join us in welcoming Dave’s Pets and Supplies of Orillia to our library for a very special story time! Listen to a story, learn about pet care, decide which pet you think you would like and see little creatures.  Other activities will make it fun for all participants!

2 PM | Ages: 5 - 12 | Cost: $5
Field to Fork with Nourish and Develop!
Join Rebecca from Nourish and Develop who will teach children to prepare vegetables and make a delicious hummus dip.  The group will also plant their own seed or seedling to interactively learn about what plants need to grow successfully.

Please speak with staff if the cost is a barrier to your child’s participation.
