Our family loves recognizing our hard-working Orillia Transit operators and maintenance staff.
On Transit Driver Appreciation Day (Saturday, March 18), we made sure to thank them as there are many people who show up each day to get people to where they need to be through Orillia Transit’s regular and specialized services.
Our transit operators and maintenance workers play a vital role in the everyday lives of Orillia residents. Their dedication is what keeps our city moving. I only hope we can look further to improving our transit system for the benefit of transit operators, workers and riders.
Many residents rely on Orillia Transit daily to get to work, school, events or appointments. When we were getting on or off Orillia Transit on March 18, I, as a mother, encouraged my children and family to say an extra “thank you” to our transit operators.
We are very grateful for all the hard-working superheroes.
