Summer is finally here, and you know what that means — endless days of sunshine, laughter, and of course, books!
The Orillia Public Library is thrilled to announce the return of the much-anticipated TD Summer Reading Club, the popular free nation-wide reading program for children ages birth to 13 years.
TD Summer Reading Club registration opens in the Family Dept. on Monday, July 3 at 10 a.m. Once registered, every young bookworm will receive their official logbook and deliciously cool instant prize!
We encourage our readers to visit the Library weekly to share their literary adventures and earn ballots for our weekly prize draws or our exciting grand prize: a Nintendo Switch! We would like to thank the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area, Rotary Club of Orillia, and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment for their generous financial support towards summer prizes and incentives.
If that wasn’t enough, we’re also offering an exciting range of free programs Monday through Saturday which include crafts, storytimes, games, and more all summer long! Visit our website for all the details.

Don't worry, adults, we haven't forgotten about you! Our "Hot Readers" program is a summer reading experience designed exclusively for grown-ups.
Become a "Hot Reader" this summer and ignite your love for literature. Share what you're reading to be entered into biweekly prize basket draws that contain enticing gift cards and exclusive library swag. And that's not all! At the end of the summer, one lucky "Hot Reader" will be awarded the fantastic grand prize valued at over $200 — a "Love Local" Prize Pack donated by Marci Csumrik & Associates!
