NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA VOCAL ENSEMBLE
*************************
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the Orillia Vocal Ensemble (OVE) is pleased to be presenting its first concert of the season, Song for the Land, in support of the Couchiching Conservancy.

The concert will be directed by OVE music director Blair Bailey with collaborative accompanist Katie Pergau. Special guest Sam Johnston will also perform.

Sam (Sammy) is the recipient of the OVE Roger Andrews Memorial Scholarship Award. Roger Andrews was the founding president of the OVE and the scholarship is awarded annually to a student pursuing a post-secondary education in vocal/music. Sam’s passion for community music is perfectly in tune with the OVE’s dedication to raising funds and awareness for local charities, so come out to St. Paul’s Centre and enjoy an evening of Song for the Land.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30.

Free admission. Goodwill donations gratefully accepted for the Couchiching Conservancy.
