This Mother’s Day weekend, State & Main is giving the opportunity for families to celebrate Mom while fundraising for a great local cause. Through their inaugural For Mom, For Women campaign, State & Main will be donating $10 to the Green Haven Shelter for Women for every fulfilled Mother’s Day reservation taking place from May 6 to 8, at their Orillia location.

The campaign, which will take place in 23 different cities across Canada, is focusing on benefiting non-profits which support women in their communities. The goal of the campaign is to raise up to $25,000 for deserving charities.

In OrilliaState & Main will be partnering with the Green Haven Shelter for Women, a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization which provides services including 24 hour safe emergency shelter and several supporting resources for women and their children experiencing abuse.

“Moms are often the quiet heroes in our communities, doing the work behind-the-scenes that makes our lives richer,” says Richard Homer-Dixon, Vice President – State & Main Brand Leader. “We’re really excited about celebrating moms this Mother’s Day with an amazing dine-in experience, while also supporting The Green Haven Shelter for Women in their work to uplift women in our community.

The shelter is incredibly passionate about the work they do, saying, "We believe freedom from abuse is every person's basic right. We offer a safe alternative to an abusive home and are dedicated to promoting the rights of women, with or without dependent children to live without fear in an environment of mutual respect."

Mother’s Day reservations often fill up quickly, so it’s recommended that guests book early. Guests who want to participate in this campaign can make reservations for May 6, 7 or 8, through State & Main’s website, at www.stateandmain.ca, and then by selecting “Reserve a Table.”
