The Port of Orillia will be packed this weekend with all kinds of boats and attractions.

The annual Spring Boat, Cottage and Outdoor Show will take place Friday to Sunday. It’s a chance for people to buy and sell vessels and for the public to see some “pretty exceptional” sights, including a carbon fibre boat, said show manager Doug Bunker.

“It’s a very high-end piece of equipment,” he said.

A group of people from Muskoka will also be on hand to build a bunkie — a small cabin — out of repurposed material.

There will also be vendors as well as flyboard and motorized surfboard demonstrations.

With more than 60 boats expected to dock at the port, “it’s one-stop shopping,” Bunker said.

He has high hopes for those hoping to buy and sell. Even with the U.S.-imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum last year, “some people did really well,” he said, noting those tariffs are no longer in place.

Spots are filling up fast, so those who want to include their boats in the show are encouraged to contact Bunker soon at 705-326-4424 or [email protected]. Boats must be at least 20 feet long, and the cost is $10 per foot.

The show will run Friday from 12 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
