Midland teen faces arson charge after Victoria Harbour fire

One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries in wake of structure fire in residential area

VICTORIA HARBOUR - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment responded to a call for service to investigate a structure fire in a residential area in Victoria Harbour just after 8:00 a.m. Tay Fire and Emergency Services were able to put out the fire and the Office of the Fire Marshal attended the scene. One person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police investigation has led to the arrest of 19-year-old male Nick Shelswell of the Midland area. The accused has been charged with arson and is being held for a bail hearing at the provincial court of justice in Barrie on July 23, 2019.
