(ORILLIA, ON) - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to receive complaints of counterfeit American currency in the City of Orillia.

In February of 2018 the Orillia OPP has received several reports of counterfeit American currency. The Orillia OPP has issued notices and warnings the public and businesses to be made aware of what is happening so they can take the necessary precautions to ensure they're interests are protected.  The Orillia OPP has even made an arrest in relation to the counterfeit dollars; however, counterfeit American dollars continues to be a problem in Orillia.

The Orillia OPP is issuing another warning to the public and businesses that there has been another report of a counterfeit American 100 dollar bill being used at a local business. Please use precautions when accepting American money or large bills.
