The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is offering various opportunities to get a COVID-19 vaccination this week in Orillia without the need of an appointment.

The mass vaccination clinic at Orillia’s Rotary Place is open to walk-ins today (July 13) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

You can also get your shot without an appointment at the Rotary Place clinic Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This clinic is open to Simcoe Muskoka residents 12 years of age or older. You can drop in for either your first or second dose, but to be eligible for the second dose, it must be at least 28 days since you received your first dose (of Moderna or Pfizer) and eight to 12 weeks if your first dose was Astra Zeneca.

Individuals are encouraged to dress for the weather as they may be required to wait outdoors before entering the clinic.

Individuals are also reminded to bring a health card, a list of any medications they are taking, wear a loose-fitting shirt that allows easy access to the upper arm and bring any assistive devices as needed (e.g., scooter, wheelchair, cane).

For more information, visit the health unit’s website.
