Kim Kneeshaw, the executive director of North Simcoe Victim Services, was named the Orillia Business Women’s Association Woman of the Year for 2023.

It's time to nominate a deserving local woman for the prestigious Nelle Carter Woman of the Year award.

This award is presented annually to someone respected for her outstanding work in her community, in the workplace, at home, or all three.

The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) will host its 33rd annual gala on May 22 where the award will be bestowed.

The Woman of the Year award is named for the late Nelle Carter who was an inspiration to women in our area. She was president of the family business, president of the Orillia Quota Club, the first woman elected to Orillia Council as Alderman and active in St. Paul’s United Church. The recipient of the award represents Nelle Carter’s high standards and values.
