BUSINESS LEADER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Nominees are being sought for the prestigious William (Bill) Swinimer Business Leader of the Year Award.
This year’s winner will be announced at a dinner to be held at Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club on April 24.
This will be the 17th year for this award and officials say they welcome the opportunity to highlight and thank the many small businesses that provide jobs in the community as well as sponsor many community events.
Orillia has a vibrant and exciting business community and this award is meant to thank them for adding to the many reasons we are happy to work, live and play in this wonderful city.
Previous winners include Jim Wilson, Gini Stringer, Ken Forbes, John Weber, Jim Dykes, Doug Downey, Brian Nichols, Mike Davenport, Paul Larche, Tom Ruff, Sarah Valliquette/Ian Thompson, Chris and Steve Clarke, Bob Brown & Kris Thor, Karen Koprla, Tony Katarynych and Glenn Wagner.

Sponsors of the annual award are TD Bank, EDC and the Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club. To date, more than $2,500 has been donated to Orillia’s Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital thanks to money raised at this event.
