Are you interested in art and curious about the great Canadian artist, Tom Thomson, his life and his art?

During his short life he produced roughly 400 oil sketches on small wood panels and approximately 50 larger works on canvas depicting trees, skies, lakes and rivers.

Tom Thomson was found dead mysteriously in Canoe Lake in 1917 shortly before the founding of the famous Group of Seven.

If so, join us on a bus trip to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg on Nov. 21 to see his art and hear about his life and tragic death.

The trip has been organized by volunteers at the Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH) and will provide transportation, a private tour of the exhibit and lunch. The adult fee for the trip is $155, plus HST, and the cost for seniors and students is $137, plus HST. If you are a member of OMAH, then entrance to the gallery is free as there is a reciprocal arrangement.

Call OMAH at 705-326-2159 for more information and tickets.

Don’t miss this informative tour and see the beautiful gallery that is the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
