Terry Fox said “I want to set an example that will never be forgotten.”

We have not forgotten.

On this date 39 years ago, Terry Fox brought his Marathon of Hope to the Aqua Theatre in Orillia.

To mark this anniversary, the Orillia Terry Fox Run Committee encourages you register for this upcoming Terry Fox Run on Sunday, Sept. 15 at Couchiching Beach Park at 1 p.m.

Register online as an individual or team and begin to raise funds for cancer research at www.terryfox.ca/terryfoxrun/Orillia

The Terry Fox Run has no entry fee, no minimum pledge, is non-competitive and is volunteer-driven with no corporate sponsorship.

You can run, walk, wheel, bike, or blade for one-km, 5-km or 10-km loops. Dogs on leashes are also welcome.
