Public Health Ontario reported 419 new COVID cases today.
The latest updates noted 399 recoveries and zero deaths.
The Oct. 29 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:
- 3,038 active, lab-confirmed cases, up from 3,018 yesterday.
- 211 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
- There are 100 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 30 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
- There are 68 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 21 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID.
- 10,991,730 Ontarians (about 74 per cent of the total population) have been fully vaccinated. 88 per cent of eligible Ontarians have at least one dose of vaccine.
- The new cases include 231 unvaccinated, 24 partially vaccinated, and 140 fully vaccinated cases. 24 cases were reported with vaccination status unknown.
- There are 98 unvaccinated, 12 partially vaccinated, and 29 fully vaccinated individuals hospitalized with COVID but not in the ICU.
There are 63 unvaccinated, eight partially vaccinated, and 14 fully vaccinated individuals in ICUs with COVID-19. - The seven-day average incidence rate by vaccination status is 5.7 cases per 100,000 unvaccinated people, 2.6 cases per 100,000 partially vaccinated people, and 1.1 cases per 100,000 fully vaccinated people.
- The province reported 29,592 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 1.3 per cent positivity rate.
- Of the new cases reported today, 63 are from Toronto, 32 are from Peel, 26 are from Simcoe-Muskoka, and 30 are from York Region.
- Today's new cases include 98 individuals under 12 years old, 25 youth between 12 and 19 years old, 125 people between 20 and 39 years old, 101 people between 40 and 59 years old, 57 people between 60 and 79 years old, and 12 people over 79 years old.
Public Health Ontario has confirmed 599,249 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 586,356 recoveries and 9,865 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, 30,538 people have been hospitalized with COVID and 5,986 of them were in intensive care units.
The cumulative average incidence rate in the province is 4,067.2 cases per 100,000 people in Ontario.
Ontario's average weekly incidence rate last week was 16.9 cases per 100,000 people, which is down by 13.3 per cent compared to the week of Oct. 13.

Simcoe-Muskoka
Yesterday, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reported 29 new COVID cases.
There are currently 166 active cases in the region.
Nine people from Simcoe County are hospitalized with COVID-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, the local health unit has confirmed 13,971 cases of COVID-19 with 13,541 of those cases recovered and 264 cases ending in death.
The region's weekly incidence rate is 19.4 cases per 100,000 for the week beginning Oct. 19, which is even with the week beginning Oct. 13.
