Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise that Lafontaine Road has been reopened.

The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following Road Closure: Lafontaine Road between Concession 15 East and MacAvalley Side Road, Tiny Township.

At 10:09 a.m. Sunday morning, OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle into a tree.

A lone male occupant was attended to by Tiny Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedics and pronounced deceased at scene by EMS.

The road was closed at 10:10 am for members of the OPP Central Region Traffic Collision Investigations Unit to continue the investigation into the cause of the crash.

Updates will be provided when they become available.

A detour is available via Simcoe County Road 6 and the estimated duration of the road advisory is six hours.

The OPP will distribute details and updates of the road advisory as information becomes available.
