Orillia Centre for Arts + Culture (OCA+C) regrets to announce the cancellation of its Aug. 17 event, Women in Opera: Then and Now, due to circumstances beyond our control.

“Both Orillia Centre and Highlands Opera Studio are disappointed this thoughtful production couldn’t be presented to our audiences in Orillia,” said Fred Larsen, Chair, Orillia Centre for Arts + Culture.

“However, our upcoming events will continue to provide high-quality programming to our followers and supporters.”

Ticket holders can contact Michael Martyn, General Manager, OCA+C, at michael. [email protected], to receive a full refund. He can also be reached at 705-325- 4903 ext. 607.

We are excited to let you know the rest of our programming for the year continues as planned.

Coming up next is Gathering: First Nations Literary Festival, from Sept. 19 - 21, in Midland.

Orillia Centre then partners with the Orillia Museum of Art & History to present emerging artists John Ross and Amy Swartz. The show runs at the museum, from Sept. 28 - Oct. 15.

Following that, on Nov. 1, we’re back at St, Paul’s Centre, Orillia, for a concert by Jane Bunnett and Maqueque, and on Nov. 2 for a smashing performance by Canada’s Global Orchestra — Kuné.
